Description

Airflow Wall Mounted Plenum – Galvanised Steel

Part Number: 9041141

A high-quality wall-mounted plenum made from galvanised sheet steel, designed to seamlessly connect AirflexPro ducting to a valve. These plenums are adjustable, allowing them to be cut to size for installation in ceilings or walls, making them a versatile and convenient solution.

As a vital part of the AirflexPro range, this plenum is designed to optimise clean and efficient air movement. It comes pre-fitted with hygienic dust caps inside the spigots, protecting against contamination while on-site. These caps should only be removed once the valve is fitted, ensuring the interior remains free from dirt and debris, a common issue with lesser-quality alternatives.

With safe duct lining, mechanical locking to prevent leakage, and an air quality-first approach, AirflexPro ensures efficient, hygienic, and airtight air distribution.

Key Features

2 x 75mm ducting spigots and 1 x Ø125mm spigot for extract or supply air valve
Max. air volume: 40-60 m³/h (11.1 l/s - 16.6 l/s) (dependent on valve type installed)
Includes 1 x Ø125mm hygienic cap to prevent contamination during installation
Secure, leak-resistant connection with the AirflexPro mechanical locking system
Reduced leakage risk compared to rigid ducting solutions
Durable galvanised steel construction with flexible installation options

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is semi rigid radial ductwork?

Semi rigid radial ductwork is a flexible but structured ducting system used to move air between a ventilation unit and individual rooms. It is commonly used in MVHR, MEV and other domestic ventilation systems.

  • What is radial ductwork used for?

Radial ductwork is used to create individual duct runs from a manifold or distribution box to different rooms. This can help simplify the duct layout and support balanced airflow across the property.

  • What fittings are needed for semi rigid ductwork?

A semi rigid ductwork system may require manifolds, plenums, connectors, bends, sealing rings, clips, blanking caps and other accessories depending on the layout and installation.

  • What size radial ducting do I need for my system?

The required duct size depends on the airflow needed at each valve and the overall system design. Radial ductwork should be sized as part of the complete MVHR design rather than selected by room size alone.

  • Is radial or rigid ducting better for a new build?

Both can work effectively when correctly designed. Radial ducting is popular in new builds because individual flexible runs can make routing and system balancing more straightforward.
