How MVHR Works

Learn more about how Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Retention Systems work.
How MVHR Works

“See how our MVHR systems keep your home fresh and energy-efficient!”

MVHR stands for Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery Systems. These come in the form of a unit installed into your home, which functions to both bring fresh, filtered air inside while forcing the old, stale air out.

Take the well-known, quality brand Vent-Axia. Established in 1936 and still a huge name in residential and commercial ventilation systems, Vent-Axia has a number of great MVHR units. The Sentinel Kinetic Highflow Heat Recovery Unit is a great example of a quality product ready to retain heat in your home, quietly and stylishly.

But heat retention – extracting warmth from stale air and adding warmth to fresh air – is only one part of how an MVHR system works. The system must either fill the house with fresh air enough to push the old air out, or it must apply ventilation such as an extractor fan system to get the old air out.

Units such as the Zehnder ComfoAir Q 350 Heat Recovery Unit can do both, and with optimal energy efficiency. The Mitsubishi Lossnay-VL unit has a similar reputation for  quality, with an impressive flow rate of 250 m3 per hour.

Summer’s Here – But so is the Sand, Fur, and Dust!

Whether it is kids running in from the backyard or peds shedding more in the heat, your floors will take a beating this season. Summer’s here – but so are muddy footprints, pollen which causes allergies, and condensation in every wet room of your house.

What’s the answer? A Central vacuum system from BPC Ventilation. Take the Sachvac on-off kit for example. This vacuum kit comes with super strong airflow, suitable for removing even the finest dust from your home. With multiple attachments and a 360 degree cleaning experience, this could be the answer to your summer floor woes.

A Central Vacuum System makes summer cleanup a breeze:

  • Extra strong suction for sand, fur, and crumbs.

  •  No hot motor blowing air back in your face.

  • Quiet enough to clean while the kids nap.

  • Keeps your indoor air fresh and cool.

For the best results, team your Sachvac on/off kit with the Sachvac Digital 2.4 Central Vacuum Unit. This entire system offers powerful, efficient cleaning, exceptional suction, and a HEPA filter based, three-stage filtration system.

Summer has never looked so clean!
