Product Overview
The QWW Intuwraps are designed to provide effective fire protection around plastic pipes. Composed of a high-performance graphite-based intumescent material encased in a polythene cover, the wrap reacts to heat by exerting pressure on the pipe, creating a carbonaceous char that forms an insulating plug. This plug prevents smoke and fire from passing through to adjoining compartments. These wraps are manufactured specifically to fit individual pipe diameters, ensuring a secure and effective seal. The self-adhesive tape helps to secure the wrap around the pipe during installation.

Installation Information
The QWW Intuwrap is ideal for installation within concrete floors around plastic pipes to maintain fire compartment integrity. Proper hole sizing and coordination between trades are crucial to ensure efficient and cost-effective installation. If holes are improperly sized, additional steps such as shuttering and backfilling with QF2 Fire Protection Compound may be required.
Installation Requirements:
- The wrap should be fitted flush with the underside of the concrete slab or fire seal
- No gap should exist around the Intuwrap for optimal fire safety
