Product Overview

The Nuaire Drimaster-ECO-NOX series combines Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) technology with advanced filtration to improve indoor air quality and reduce harmful pollutants. The Drimaster-ECO-NOX-HC utilizes Nuaire’s market-leading PIV strategy alongside two carbon cartridges in each ePM10 filter, which significantly reduces condensation dampness and filters out harmful pathogens and particulate matter. It also lowers NOX levels in the home by up to 80%, creating a healthier living environment.

The Drimaster-ECO-NOX-HEAT variant includes a 400W heating element integrated into the diffuser, helping to maintain comfort by tempering the airflow when the loft temperature drops below a set point. This unit offers a cost-effective, easy-to-install ventilation solution that significantly improves indoor air quality. It automatically switches to standby mode if the loft temperature becomes excessive and can be controlled via a 7-segment display on the ceiling diffuser, which also features a lock function to prevent tampering.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a PIV unit?

A PIV unit, or Positive Input Ventilation unit, introduces fresh filtered air into a property to help improve airflow and support better indoor air quality.

  • How does a PIV unit work?

A PIV unit gently supplies filtered air into the home, usually from a loft space or external wall. This helps dilute stale, moisture-laden air and encourages air movement through the property.

  • Can a PIV unit help with condensation?

Yes, a PIV unit can help reduce the conditions that lead to condensation by improving airflow and reducing excess moisture build-up. However, condensation can also be affected by heating, insulation, extraction and property condition.

  • Do PIV units need filters?

Yes, many PIV units use filters to help clean the incoming air. Filters should be checked and replaced according to the manufacturer’s guidance to maintain performance.
