  • UK-manufactured with high-quality materials - Suitable for various ventilation systems, including: Kitchen extractor fans, Bathroom fans, In-line extract fans, Whole house ventilation, Passive stack vent, Positive input ventilation, Air conditioning & HVAC, Heat recovery systems - Compatible with most manufacturers

Performance

  • Rigid ducting provides superior airflow performance compared to flexible PVC or aluminium alternatives - Compliant with Part F Building Regulations

Installation Guide

For maximum airtightness & durability: 1. Apply plastic ducting sealant to the male fitting 2. Push fittings together 3. Secure with aluminium duct sealing tape For faster installation (up to 70% quicker), self-sealing fittings can be used – also allows for easy dismantling.

Insulation of Ductwork

  • If ducting runs through a cold area (e.g. loft space), it must be insulated - Required insulation: 25mm thickness & Thermal conductivity of 0.04W/(m.k) or lower - How to insulate ducting: Wrap with 25mm duct wrap (silver foil face) & Use 25mm rockwool Bubble wrap insulation is no longer compliant with building control regulations.

Available Sizes

  • 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, 200mm For larger ducting, metal spiral ducting is recommended due to superior strength.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is rigid PVC ductwork used for?

Rigid PVC ductwork is used to move air through a ventilation system. It is commonly used with extractor fans, MVHR systems, MEV units and other domestic or light commercial ventilation installations.

  • What is the difference between round and rectangular PVC ducting?

Round PVC ducting is often used where space allows for a direct duct run, while rectangular ducting can be useful where height or space is limited, such as above ceilings, in cupboards or through tight areas.

  • Can rigid PVC ductwork be used with MVHR systems?

Rigid PVC ductwork can be used in some MVHR installations, depending on the system design and duct layout. For best results, duct sizing and routing should match the ventilation design.
