Compatibility
- Galvanized Steel Spiral Ducting: Recommended to be used along with galvanized steel spiral ducting (P100M-1)
- Compatible with Leading Manufacturers: Works with most other UK manufacturers' galvanized metal ducting
Performance
- Superior Airflow Performance: Metal ducting delivers better airflow compared to similar-sized rectangular or flexible PVC/aluminium ducting
- Airtightness: Best performance when used with duct sealant and aluminum tape for airtight sealing
Installation
- Apply duct sealant to the male fitting.
- Push the components together.
- Apply aluminum duct sealing tape over the joint to ensure airtightness.
Insulation of Ductwork
- Loft Spaces: Insulate ducting in colder areas (e.g., lofts) with 25mm thick insulation having a thermal conductivity of 0.04W/(m.k) or lower to prevent condensation.
- Non-Loft Spaces: Insulation is recommended for intake and exhaust legs in warmer spaces, wrapped with 25mm duct wrap with a silver foil face or 25mm rockwool.
- Note: Bubble wrap insulation is no longer applicable under current building control regulations.
