Panasonic Buffer tanks are designed for both heating and cooling systems on air-source heat pumps to prevent the heat pumps from short cycling on and off frequently by increasing the water volume and providing water storage thereby increasing system efficiency and longevity of the Heat Pump

If retrofitting a heat pump a buffer tank is always advised for installations of Underfloor heating and heating circuits where no other storage of water volume for space heating is evident on the system
