Description
The Vent Matika EKA NV range of electric duct heaters are Used in ventilation systems as heaters for comfort, or preheaters, to protect the ventilation unit from frost.
The EKA NV is controlled by a duct temperature sensor and unit mounted set point controller

Control Options
The EKA NV unit uses a duct mounted temperature sensor and is controlled via the set point potentiometer on the top of the heater casing.
Overheating Protection
Two overheat protection thermostats are installed in the electrical circular heater EKA.
The first one with automatic reset, turns off the heating when the temperature reaches 50 °C and turns on when the temperature drops below 50 °C.
The second with manual safety reset, turns off the heating when the temperature reaches 100 °C. In
this case you need to figure the cause of the overheating of the heater. Eliminate the overheating cause and press the RESET button on the heaters cover.

Manufactured of from Aluzinc coated steel which is high temperature proof
Mounting
Heaters can only be installed inside away from moisture and mounted horizontally with the electrical connection box facing upwards or sideways and vertically (only if the air flow direction upwards).

Optional accessories
PTC Airflow sensor– Unit mounted sensor for electronic protection from insufficient airflow. The heater is only allowed to work if the airflow velocity is 1,5m/s or higher
PS Differential Pressure Switch – a unit mounted pressure switch that provides mechanical protection against loss or insufficient airflow. The heater if not allowed to heat unless a minimum airflow of 1,5m/s is reached.
(Note -due to required velocity the PTC or PS option may not work on some smaller domestic MVHR or MEV systems with low airflow rates)
PTC/PS – Sensor for minimum air velocity detection and diff. pressure switch for air flow detection
PTC/K – Sensor for minimum air velocity detection and contactor for overheating protection
2NTC – 2 sensors for the air temperature measuring
PTC/2NTC – Sensor for min. air velocity detection and 2 sensors for the air temperature measuring
By ordering the PS, an internal contactor for power supply is added to the heater as well.
